He started his artistic career as rather a classical painter due to his academic fine arts education. The first artworks were traditional Ukranian landscapes, nature sketches etc. This tendency was relevant for around a decade until recent years. The gradual style transformation and search for the expression means brought the author to minimalistic pictures with unusual colour decisions and geometric shapes. The ongoing landscape series offers a unique perspective at the immutable woods and lake views, revealing the essence of our emotional memory and not trying to imitate the world as it is. The experimental searches for "something truly mine" started at the university, however now the use of this method is dictated by self-awareness. What you can see today is a breakaway from academicism, the reproduction of a stable symbol, colour and compositional relationships, an attempt to combine memories and premonitions.
